Vehicle To Vehicle Communication Protocol For Co-Operative Collision Warning

The tile of our project is “a vehicle to vehicle communication protocol for co-operative collision warning”, in recent days there is a rapid advancement in wireless technologies in V2V i.e. vehicle to vehicle communication protocol. While designing this project we took the considerations regarding the improvement the latency in delivering the warning in less time, differentiation mechanisms and methods for emergency warning dissemination.

Vehicle To Vehicle Communication Protocol

Here the wireless data communication module is provided using Zigbee technology, the interrupt distance is measured by the ultrasonic sensors in the transmission and receiving section.

Zigbee communication module:

Zigbee stands for a high level communication protocol in low power digital radio based wireless data transmission systems, the role of the role of Zigbee technology in future data Communication system is predominantly discussed in this paper. Zigbee finds applications in Process control, home awareness sensors, and industrial device control systems.

Vehicle to vehicle communication hardware:

Ultrasonic sensor:

The sensor had transmitter and receiver, the transmitter sends the signal when the it meet with a obstacle it gets reflected back and the receiver takes it and measures the distance of the object based on two mechanisms either continuous-wave and pulse-echo technique. The mechanism is explained in the later sections.

Micro controller AT89C51:

The micro controller used in this circuit is a low power high performance CMOS 8-bit microcomputer with 4K bytes PEROM, 128 x 8-bit Internal RAM, 32 Programmable I/O Lines¸ Two 16-bit Timer/Counters with six interrupt sources. This is designed using Atmel’s high-density nonvolatile memory technology.

Results:

As per the simulation results the implemented circuit is capable of achieving low latency in delivering the data to the user, and it is ideal for low power consumption approach and we can implement this device using small batteries in the vehicular system.
